Ravichandran Ashwin is enjoying some fun time with his family after spending nearly two months in a bio-bubble thanks to the coronavirus protocols that have been put in place for the safety of the players amid the coronavirus pandemic. Ashwin was the star for India with both bat and ball in the recently-concluded Test series against England. The off-spinner picked up 32 wickets in the four-match series and scored 189 runs including a century in the second innings of the 2nd Test in Chennai. Ashwin’s wife Prithi took to Instagram on Friday to share an adorable video in which the 34-year-old spinner can be seen playing with his daughter.
“The kind of love torture I get a break from when @rashwin99 is home,” Prithi captioned the video.
Ashwin’s performance in the home Test series against England saw him winning the International Cricket Council (ICC) men’s player of the month award for February.
Ashwin, who last played in the limited-overs format in 2017, was not named in the 19-member India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series.
The off-spinner has played 46 T20Is and picked up 52 wickets while bowling at an economy rate of under 7.

His best bowling figures in a T20I came against Sri Lanka in Vizag where Ashwin picked up four wickets and conceded just eight runs from his spell of four overs.
The T20I series kicks off on Friday and all the five matches will be played at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
