A day after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the annual contracts for the senior women’s cricket team, BCCI secretary Jay Shah took to Twitter to announce that the women’s team will play their first-ever day-night Test match in Australia later this year. “Taking forward our commitment towards women’s cricket, I am extremely pleased to announce that Team India @BCCIwomen will play in their first-ever pink ball day-night Test later this year in Australia,” Jay Shah tweeted.

Indian women’s team is set to travel to the UK for one-off Test match, three One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals.
ODI captain Mithali Raj, along with other members of the squad, reached Mumbai to start her quarantine in Mumbai.
